Daniil Lipnitskiy is an interdisciplinary visual artist residing on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design with a Bachelor’s in Visual ArtHis main practice is situated in oil painting, yet he enjoys all aspects of drawing and printmaking to further develop his interests in the visual arts.

Daniil's primary area of exploration is in abstraction, reflecting on the interaction between mark-making and subconscious thought. He further develops a visual language that changes depending on the area of research or a specific place informing his process of creation.
